Guys, I absolutely adore this time of the year. I adore the lights, Christmas trees, presents and the hustle and bustle. Out of all of those things, I do know and appreciate the true meaning of Christmas. The saying “Jesus is the reason for the season” is so cliche but it is so true. I’m truly thankful all year long but especially thankful during this time of the year as I look back over the year to count my blessings.

I’m going through old family photos to share with my cousins and ran across this picture from Christmas 1971. It flooded my memory of those good times when I was younger. One fond memory is of my grandmother and I sneaking into the presents and re-tapping them in hopes my mom never knew but she always did. Memories are to be cherished even when the memory is of a silver tree. What a trend!

What are some of your fond childhood memories during the holiday season? Make sure you are starting your own family traditions.

Wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas and happy new year.
